Ten Gallon Hat Winery is a new edition to the Unionville-Chadds Ford area. Coming to the area in early December 2013, the family owned winery offers a variety of wines that will challenge the palate of any consummate wine drinker. The goal is for everyone who walks in to have one or two wines that they like by the time they leave. For example, this lover of red wines enjoyed their 2012 Farmer's Daughter Moscato, with its strong nose of apricots and peaches and taste of honey drizzled over pears, and their 2012 Cranberry wine, which can easily substitute for a margarita with the addition of lime. New wines and another larger tasting room and small band area should be coming this spring!
This blog, in keeping with the "writing korner" title, is a place for me to write about the various things that either reflect my interests and/or are interesting to me and thus would warrant preserving in the annals of time--kind of like a reporter's notebook of facts but less current. It's personal and not the writing portfolio side of my website but not so personal that it reveals much of anything about me, which I will save for my own journal I keep under my bed that only I can see. The details of my life are not the focus of this site, and they're unprofessional and immaterial to include in this arena.
